    Brass Grades

    Brass Scrap Exporter — Honey, Ocean, Pales and Shell Cases

    Nautica Metal Scrap B.V. exports yellow and red brass scrap grades from Rotterdam to brass billet plants, plumbing-fitting foundries and ammunition reload manufacturers in India, China, Vietnam, Bangladesh, Turkey and the Gulf. Our European brass feedstock comes from machining shops, demolition tear-outs, water-meter scrap and decommissioned military shell casings.

    Lots are classified against ISRI Honey (yellow brass solids, ~63% Cu / 35% Zn), Ocean (mixed yellow brass turnings), Pales (red brass / gunmetal, ~85% Cu), Ebony (admiralty brass) and Lake (mixed unsweated brass). Free-cutting CuZn39Pb3 turnings are kept separate from lead-free alloys on customer request.

    Rotterdam Logistics

    Brass solids load at 24–25 t per 20-ft GP; turnings reach 26 t due to high bulk density. Shell cases are containerized with weight breakdown by caliber and require pre-shipment safety clearance confirming inert status.

    Packaging

    Solids ship loose-loaded or in steel-strapped 1-tonne sacks; turnings move in moisture-resistant big bags with oil-drained certification; shell cases are containerized in 200-L steel drums or compressed bales depending on destination customs.

    Inspection Standards

    All shipments are SGS / Bureau Veritas / Cotecna pre-inspected with XRF chemistry per lot, Pb/Sn percentage on red brass, magnetic separation report, and tally sheets for shell-case quantities.

    Do you supply lead-free brass turnings?

    Yes — we segregate CW508L and other lead-free turnings on request, certified by OES analysis.

    Are shell cases legal to import to my country?

    Cartridge cases require destination-country dual-use clearance. We supply inert, primer-removed material with full documentation and IMDG declaration where applicable.

    What is the Cu/Zn split on Honey brass?

    Honey grade ships at typical 63% Cu / 35% Zn / balance Pb,Sn — confirmed by XRF on every container.

    Minimum trial order?

    One 20-ft container per grade; mixed-grade trial orders are accepted as separately sealed loads with individual ISRI declarations.
