    Product specification — 304 / 18-8

Chemical composition follows AISI 304: 18.0–20.0% Cr, 8.0–10.5% Ni, C ≤ 0.08%, Mn ≤ 2.0%, Si ≤ 1.0%, P ≤ 0.045%, S ≤ 0.030%. We offer 304 in three preparations: heavy solids (sheet, plate, vessel cut-ups), light solids (tube, fabricator offcuts) and clean dry turnings free of cutting oil. Each lot is XRF-tested at the yard before loading.

    ISRI classification

Our 304 stainless trades under ISRI specification code 'Stainless Steel Scrap, 18-8' (commonly referenced as ISRI 304). For solids we follow the ISRI guidance: clean stainless steel scrap containing a minimum of 7% nickel and 16% chromium, free of foreign attachments, oil, grease, scale and other impurities. Turnings are offered under the equivalent 'Stainless Steel Turnings, 18-8' code, dry and unbriquetted unless agreed otherwise.

    Packaging and container loading

Solids load loose in 20GP containers at approximately 22–24 MT per box. Turnings load loose at 20–22 MT per 20GP. On request we can supply 1-ton bulk bags for buyers handling material via hopper. Containers are lined, photo-documented before sealing, and tagged with seal numbers on the packing list.

    Inspection and export documentation

Every shipment is offered with SGS, Bureau Veritas or Intertek third-party inspection at load port. Documents released include commercial invoice, packing list, B/L, EUR.1 where applicable, weighbridge tickets, XRF analysis report and inspection certificate. Payment is typically 30% TT advance / 70% LC at sight against scanned documents.

    Rotterdam logistics

Loading is done at our Rotterdam-area yard with direct gate access to the deep-sea terminals. Weekly sailings cover Nhava Sheva, Mundra, Port Klang, Jebel Ali, Mersin and Shanghai. We coordinate forwarder, customs and shipping line under one contact so the buyer gets one B/L per parcel.
