Can the material be cut to a custom length?

Yes. Standard cut-length is under 600 mm; custom lengths are available subject to volume and a small handling premium.

Do you supply 6061 alongside 6063?

What loaded weight should I budget for?

24–26 MT per 20'GP for loose Tata offcuts. Tutu loads similarly but reduces the smelter yield by 1–2%.

25 MT — one full container load. Mixed-grade cargoes are possible but typically discounted to the lowest grade in the container.

How is the price calculated?

LME Aluminium High Grade (P1020A) cash on the quotation date, less a transparent discount for grade, packaging, freight and margin.

Why billet casters specify 6063 from European sources

6063 is the workhorse architectural extrusion alloy: a magnesium-silicon (Mg-Si) chemistry that delivers anodising-quality surface, good extrudability and the strength balance demanded by window-frame, curtain-wall and structural extruders. Billet casters need a low-iron, low-copper, chemistry-stable charge — exactly what European 6063 offcuts deliver. Our material comes from licensed Dutch and German extrusion plants, so the chemistry stays inside the 0.45–0.9% Mg and 0.2–0.6% Si band shipment after shipment.

Tata vs Tutu — which one your charge calculation needs

ISRI Tata is clean, unpainted 6063 extrusion: window-frame offcuts and end-cuts with no paint, no anodising and no attachments. ISRI Tutu is mixed painted or anodised 6063, which carries a small coating penalty in the re-melt furnace. We supply both as separate cargoes — never blended — so buyers can match the grade to their charge book. Tutu sells at a discount to Tata reflecting the coating recovery loss.

Container loading and cut-length specification

Standard loading is 24–26 MT per 20'GP and up to 26 MT per 40'HC. Default cut-length is under 600 mm to fit standard billet caster charge wells; custom cut-to-length is available on request subject to volume. Material is loose-loaded, weighed on a calibrated 60-tonne bridge, photographed and sealed with a high-security bolt seal. Container floors are lined to prevent in-transit shifting.

Quality assurance and chemistry verification

Every inbound truck is XRF-tested at our Rotterdam yard. Lots failing the 6063 chemistry window are diverted to other alloy bays. Random samples from each loading lot are retained for 90 days against any buyer assay challenge. Pre-shipment inspection from SGS, Bureau Veritas, Intertek or CCIC is arranged on request — the inspector observes stuffing, draws samples and issues the inspection certificate before bill-of-lading release.

LME-linked pricing and contract structures

6063 offers reference the LME Aluminium High Grade (P1020A) cash settlement on the day of quotation, less a discount for grade (Tata vs Tutu), packaging, freight and our margin. Tata trades at the smallest aluminum discount on our list — it is the closest re-melt yield to primary metal. Rolling contracts use a monthly LME average to remove daily volatility; spot offers are valid 48 hours.

Active monthly capacity and buyer markets

Monthly capacity is 800–2,000 MT of clean Tata and 500–1,200 MT of Tutu. Active monthly buyers include billet casters in India, China, Vietnam, South Korea, Turkey, the UAE and Saudi Arabia.
