    Nautica Metal Scrap B.V. supplies austenitic and ferritic stainless steel scrap from Rotterdam to EAF mills, melting shops and re-rollers across India, China, Indonesia, Vietnam, Turkey and the GCC. Our European stainless feedstock is sourced from food-processing demolition, pharmaceutical plant decommissioning, kitchen-equipment manufacturers and CNC machining houses.

    All material is segregated by grade using portable XRF before loading: 304 (18/8 chrome-nickel), 304L low-carbon, 316 (with 2–3% molybdenum), 316L marine-grade, and 430 ferritic (chrome-only). Turnings, solids and skeleton scrap are kept on separate piles to preserve nickel recovery economics.

    Rotterdam Logistics

    Solids load at 22–24 t per 20-ft GP; turnings reach 25–26 t. Heavy bundles use 40-ft FR flat-racks for oversized pipe and tank sections. Loading is supervised by SGS inspectors with full XRF mapping recorded on the inspection report.

    Packaging

    Solids ship loose with steel hoarding boards; turnings move in 1-tonne moisture-resistant big bags after oil draining and degreasing; bundled plate ships banded with hardwood dunnage to prevent container wall damage.

    Inspection Standards

    Every container carries an XRF certificate showing Ni, Cr, Mo and Mn percentages per lot, plus magnet test results, oil-drainage declaration and a third-party PSI (SGS, BV, Cotecna or Intertek).

    How do you verify 316 vs 304?

    Every bundle is XRF-scanned for molybdenum (Mo) content — 316 must show 2.0–3.0% Mo; anything below is reclassified as 304.

    Do you supply 316L specifically?

    Yes — 316L low-carbon (max 0.03% C) is segregated on request with mill test reports where the source material allows traceability.

    What is the price reference?

    Stainless scrap is priced as a percentage of LME nickel multiplied by the nickel content, plus a chrome adder and a yield discount.

    Are turnings accepted with cutting oil?

    Turnings must be drained and degreased; oil content above 2% by weight triggers a rejection or repacking deduction.
