ISRI Zurik

    Zurik Scrap Supplier

Zurik is the ISRI specification for a shredder downstream fraction that is rich in stainless steel along with copper-bearing wire and other higher-value metals. Nautica Metal Scrap B.V. sources Zurik from European shredder operators with sensor-based sorting, then loads it from Rotterdam to refiners worldwide.

    What is Zurik?

Zurik is the fraction recovered using induction-sensor sorters (X-ray / electromagnetic sensor based) after the standard eddy-current Zorba pass. The output is enriched in stainless steel (typically 50–70%), copper-bearing wire harnesses, and other metals not pulled by eddy current.

    ISRI Zurik specification

Per ISRI, Zurik is shredded metals consisting of stainless steel and copper-bearing materials with minor non-metallic attachments. Standard contract is offered with 50% minimum stainless plus 10–15% copper wire content; tighter specs are negotiable based on the operator's sensor line.

    Packaging and loading

Zurik ships loose in 20GP or 40HQ at 22–25 MT depending on bulk density. Particle size 10–200 mm typical. Each container is photographed and weighed at our gate.

    Inspection and assay

Each lot ships with a representative sample assay (stainless content by induction sort + manual count, plus copper by wire density). SGS supervision at loading and re-sampling at destination are both accepted arbitration paths.

    Rotterdam loading and freight

Weekly sailings from Rotterdam to all major non-ferrous refining destinations. Documents include invoice, packing list, B/L, weighbridge, assay, photos and any required Basel notifications.
