Electric Motor Scrap Supplier

Electric motor scrap consists of used and end-of-life electric motors collected from industrial facilities, HVAC systems, automotive applications, and appliance recycling operations. These motors are a valuable source of copper, steel, aluminum, and cast iron.

The primary value in electric motor scrap comes from the copper windings, which typically constitute 15–25% of the total motor weight. Larger industrial motors tend to have higher copper content ratios. The steel stator and rotor laminations also have significant recycling value.

Electric motor recycling is a critical part of the circular economy for metals. At specialized recycling facilities, motors are disassembled or shredded to separate the copper windings from the steel housing, which are then processed independently into secondary raw materials.
