GOST A7 / P1020A Equivalent — 99.7% Al

    Aluminum A7 Ingots Supplier

Nautica Metal Scrap B.V. supplies primary aluminum A7 ingots — 99.7% Al, GOST grade, broadly equivalent to LME-deliverable P1020A — from our Rotterdam yard to foundries, re-rollers and die-casters worldwide. Available in T-bar (22–24 kg) and sow ingot (500–750 kg) forms, palletised and strapped for ocean transit.

    Product Overview

Aluminum A7 is a primary aluminum grade specified in GOST 11069, with a minimum chemical purity of 99.7% Al and tight controls on iron (≤0.20%) and silicon (≤0.10%). It is broadly equivalent to LME-deliverable P1020A used in Western markets. Foundries value A7 for its low impurity profile, which simplifies downstream alloying for wrought and cast products. Our A7 supply originates from established primary smelters and is consolidated at our Rotterdam yard for global container or break-bulk dispatch.

    Technical Specifications

    • Al: 99.70% minimum
    • Fe: 0.20% maximum
    • Si: 0.10% maximum
    • Cu: 0.01% maximum
    • Form: T-bar 22–24 kg, sow ingot 500–750 kg
    • HS Code: 7601.10 (unwrought primary aluminum)
    • Packaging: Palletised on heat-treated pallets, strapped with steel banding

    Industry Applications

A7 ingots are charged directly into wrought-product re-melt furnaces for sheet, foil, plate and extrusion billet production. Die-casters use A7 as the base metal for alloying with Si, Mg, Cu and Zn to produce ADC12, A380 and bespoke aluminum casting alloys. Cable plants use high-purity A7 for EC-grade aluminum wire rod. The low Fe and Si content makes A7 the preferred starting material for anodising-quality finished products.

    LME-Linked Pricing

A7 ingot offers reference the LME Aluminium High Grade (P1020A) cash settlement on the quotation date, plus a Western/Asian regional premium that reflects regional supply-demand. The premium typically ranges between USD 150–350 per tonne depending on destination market and contract size. Rolling contracts use a monthly LME average and a contracted premium to remove daily volatility.

    Container Loading Capacity

Loaded weight per container is calculated on a calibrated 60-tonne weighbridge at our Rotterdam yard. Photographs and bridge tickets accompany every shipment for aluminum a7 ingots.

    Quality Assurance Process

    1. 1

      Gate inspection

Inbound trucks weighed and visually graded against ISRI master samples before unloading.

    2. 2

      Yard re-sort

Material re-sorted by alloy family, photographed lot-by-lot, and segregated to grade-specific bays.

    3. 3

      Magnet & XRF check

Magnetic separation removes ferrous contamination; XRF spot-checks confirm alloy chemistry.

    4. 4

      Pre-load audit

Container floor lined, weight target confirmed, stuffing sequence photographed with timestamps.

    5. 5

      Third-party inspection

SGS, Bureau Veritas, Intertek, CCIC or TÜV inspect on buyer request before bill-of-lading release.

    6. 6

      Seal & document

High-security bolt seal applied; seal number printed on packing list, B/L and inspection certificate.

    SGS & Intertek Inspection

Pre-shipment inspection is arranged at the loading point on the buyer's request. SGS, Bureau Veritas, Intertek, CCIC and TÜV are all welcome at our Rotterdam yard — the buyer instructs the inspector directly and we invoice the cost at actual.

The inspector observes stuffing, draws representative samples for XRF or wet-lab analysis, photographs the loaded container, witnesses the seal application and issues the inspection certificate prior to bill-of-lading release. Destination-mandated certificates (BIS for India, CCIC for China, TSE for Turkey) are arranged where required.

    Shipping & Logistics

Loading takes place at our Rotterdam yard with direct gate access to ECT, APMT and RWG terminals. Weekly direct sailings cover Asia, the Middle East, Africa and the Americas. Typical transit times below are indicative — exact ETAs are confirmed on each booking.

    Buyer FAQ

What is the difference between A7 and P1020A?

A7 is the GOST designation for 99.7% pure aluminum; P1020A is the LME-deliverable Western equivalent. Chemistry is broadly identical (Fe ≤ 0.20%, Si ≤ 0.10%).

    Are the ingots LME-registered?

We supply LME-equivalent quality. LME-registered brands are available on request subject to availability and premium pricing.

What is the typical ingot weight?

Standard T-bars weigh 22–24 kg each; sow ingots 500–750 kg. Both are strapped on heat-treated pallets for ocean transit.

Do you supply primary or secondary ingots?

Both. Primary A7 (99.7%) at LME premium, and secondary remelt sow ingots at a discount for foundries that re-alloy in-house.

What premium over LME cash applies to A7 T-bars?

T-bar premium moves with the Rotterdam duty-unpaid P1020A premium — typically USD 240–320/MT over LME cash — plus freight to the destination port. Firm premium is quoted at contract sign.

How is chemistry certified per lot?

Every heat ships with a mill test certificate (MTC) showing Fe, Si, Cu, Ti and Al content by spectrometer analysis. MTC is delivered digitally at bill-of-lading release.

Are 22 kg T-bars stackable without pallets?

T-bars ship strapped in bundles of 40 pieces (~1 MT) on heat-treated ISPM-15 pallets. Pallets are stackable two-high in the container to maximise payload.

Do you offer LME-approved brand ingots?

Access to LME-approved brands (RUSAL, EGA, Hydro, Rio Tinto) is available for buyers who need warrant-eligible metal. Availability and premium are quoted case by case.

What is the maximum single-order tonnage?

Container-scale (24 MT per 20'GP) is the standard order unit. Break-bulk sow ingot shipments of 500–2,000 MT are arranged for larger foundry buyers via chartered tonnage.

Are sow ingots and T-bars priced the same?

No. Sow ingots trade at a small discount to T-bar premium because they are less liquid on the exchange and require larger furnace charge doors.

Do you supply alloyed ingots like AlSi7Mg or AlSi9Cu3?

Yes — secondary foundry alloys (LM6, LM24 UK spec; AlSi7Mg, AlSi9Cu3 EN spec) are available on separate contracts, priced against Metal Bulletin secondary aluminum alloy assessments.

What Incoterms apply to ingot shipments?

FOB Rotterdam or CIF main port under Incoterms 2020. DAP/DDP is available for regional European deliveries by truck within 800 km of Rotterdam.
