SGS & Intertek Inspection
Pre-shipment inspection is arranged at the loading point on the buyer's request. SGS, Bureau Veritas, Intertek, CCIC and TÜV are all welcome at our Rotterdam yard — the buyer instructs the inspector directly and we invoice the cost at actual.
The inspector observes stuffing, draws representative samples for XRF or wet-lab analysis, photographs the loaded container, witnesses the seal application and issues the inspection certificate prior to bill-of-lading release. Destination-mandated certificates (BIS for India, CCIC for China, TSE for Turkey) are arranged where required.

What grades of copper wire scrap do you ship?
Bare bright (Berry/Candy), No.1 stripped wire, No.2 copper wire with light tinning, and insulated copper wire ICW awaiting stripping. Each grade is offered to ISRI specification.
Is the wire de-oiled?
Yes. All copper wire is mechanically stripped, blown clean and quality-checked before stuffing. Moisture is kept below 1% to avoid weight disputes at destination.
Do you offer FOB and CIF pricing?
Yes. We quote FOB Rotterdam, CFR or CIF to any major Asian, Middle-Eastern, African or American port. CIF is most common for first-time buyers.
How is the price calculated?
Every offer is benchmarked to the LME 3-month Copper Grade A settlement on the day of quotation, less a transparent discount for grade, freight and our margin.
What percentage of LME does copper wire scrap typically trade at?
Clean No.1 stripped wire lands at 93–95% LME CIF main port; No.2 tinned wire at 86–90%; insulated copper wire is priced on the declared metallic Cu content net of insulation.
Do you handle ICW (insulated copper wire) processing?
We supply ICW as-received in bales or drums with declared Cu content. Buyers who prefer stripped output can nominate a processor at destination; we do not granulate on-site.
How is copper wire scrap sourced?
Direct feedstock from Benelux and German cable manufacturers, transformer dismantlers and licensed WEEE processors. All sources are documented for EU Waste Shipment Regulation compliance.
What is the minimum order quantity for a wire cargo?
One full 20'GP container (typically 20–23 MT loose stripped wire). Trial LCL is not offered — grade integrity is only economical at full-container scale.
Can wire scrap be co-loaded with Millberry?
Physically yes, but we always split the invoice by ISRI grade so each smelter charge calc is protected. Co-load requests must be pre-approved on the contract.
What certificates travel with copper wire cargo?
Commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading, weighbridge tickets, XRF chemistry, EU Annex VII form (non-OECD destinations), certificate of origin and SGS/CCIC inspection certificate when nominated.
