Stage 4 — Container Loading at Rotterdam

Container selection, floor lining, load method, target net weight and seal procedure vary by grade. Every container is photographed from empty to sealed and released against the pre-shipment inspection certificate.

    Container selection: 20GP vs 40HC vs break-bulk

Dense grades — HMS 1&2, shredded steel, densified UBC pucks, copper wire tails, brass turnings — load 20GP at 22–27 MT net because a 40HC would exceed road-legal payload. Light-density grades — loose UBC, extrusion, aluminum wheels, Zorba — often load 40HC at 22–24 MT net for freight economy. Volumes above 3,000 MT of a single grade quote as break-bulk vessel loading from Rotterdam or Amsterdam.

    Floor lining and load method

Loose non-ferrous grades load onto a PP fabric floor liner to prevent fine loss during transit and to keep the container floor clean for the next cargo. Bales are stacked without lining. Loading is by conveyor for shredded grades, wheel loader for bales and pucks, and magnet-grab for ferrous. Every load is levelled to prevent cargo shift during ocean transit.

    Target net weights by grade

20GP net targets: HMS 1&2 25–27 MT, shredded steel 25–27 MT, densified UBC 22–24 MT, copper Millberry 22–24 MT, brass Honey 24–26 MT. 40HC net targets: loose UBC 22–24 MT, Taint/Tabor 22–24 MT, Zorba 22–24 MT, Troma wheels 20–22 MT. All targets stay within the CSC plate and the destination-country road-legal payload — no overweight containers.

    Container photography and sealing

Every container is photographed empty (interior all four sides + roof), quarter-loaded, half-loaded, three-quarter, full, and sealed with the seal number in the frame. Photos are timestamped and included in the pre-shipment documentation pack. A high-security bolt seal (compliant with ISO/PAS 17712) is applied and the seal number is printed on the packing list, bill of lading and inspection certificate.
