The export declaration is filed electronically through the Dutch AGS system before the container is gated in at the Rotterdam terminal. HS codes are applied per grade — 7404 for copper waste and scrap, 7602 for aluminum waste and scrap, 7204 for ferrous waste and scrap, 7503 for nickel waste, 8007 for tin waste. Preferential origin under EUR.1 is claimed for destinations with an EU trade agreement.
Under EU Regulation 1013/2006 on shipments of waste, non-hazardous 'green-listed' scrap (aluminum, copper, brass, stainless, most ferrous) shipped to non-OECD destinations requires an Annex VII movement document signed by the notifier before shipment. Nautica is a registered notifier and issues Annex VII in the buyer's name for every non-OECD shipment. Hazardous or amber-listed material is not exported by Nautica.
EUR.1 is issued for shipments to countries with an EU preferential trade agreement — the buyer's import duty is reduced or zero on presentation of a valid EUR.1. Where EUR.1 does not apply (India, China, USA) we issue a non-preferential certificate of origin through the Rotterdam Chamber of Commerce, stamped and returned to the buyer with the original documentation courier.
Every shipment sends: (1) commercial invoice on Nautica letterhead, (2) packing list with container-level lot references and weights, (3) weighbridge tickets, (4) container-interior photograph sequence, (5) bill of lading (original and copy), (6) EUR.1 or certificate of origin, (7) Annex VII where non-OECD destination, (8) SGS/BV/Intertek/CCIC pre-shipment inspection certificate, (9) BIS-1, CCIC, TSE, GOEIC or SASO certificate as required. Scanned copies within 24 hours of loading; originals couriered on 30% TT receipt or released through the L/C bank.
