We book Maersk, MSC, CMA CGM, Hapag-Lloyd, ONE and Evergreen as the standard Tier-1 carriers from Rotterdam. Carrier choice is optimised per booking for transit time, on-time reliability and freight cost — buyers may nominate a specific carrier at signed-contract stage if their receiving forwarder has a preference.
On gate-in at Rotterdam we send the buyer the container number, master B/L number and carrier tracking URL. Milestones — gate-in, loaded on vessel, vessel departed, transhipment, vessel arrived, discharge, gate-out — are visible on the carrier tracking portal in real time. Nautica also proactively notifies the buyer on vessel departure and arrival by email.
Rotterdam sailings can be affected by weather, port congestion or Suez routing changes. Where a transit exceeds contract window by more than 7 days, we notify the buyer within 48 hours of the carrier's revised ETA. Force majeure events (Red Sea diversions, port strikes) are managed per the contract's force majeure clause with best-endeavour reallocation to alternative sailings.
